Background:
During the channel setup for HRS, you are presented for the option of which Rate Plans myallocator will update for you.
If you select the Hot Deal to be for Rate Group 1, that will set the Default Rate Plan to the Hot Deal Rate, and we will only be able to update Availability for the Hot Deal Rate Plan.

Changing the Hot Deal options to Rate Group 2 will allow myallocator to update both the Default Rate Plan as well as the Hot Deal Rate Plan.
