This article will show you how to delete (disable) a room/type in myallocator.
Disabling Rooms
Step 1: Click on Manage
Step 2: Select Room Types from the left hand menu
Step 3: Click the desired room/type that you want to disable
Step 4: Scroll down and check the "Disable" Box.
Step 5: Click on the "I understand" button after reading the information box.
Disabling a room type in MyAllocator DOES NOT NOTIFY THE CHANNEL.
UNTIL YOU DEACTIVATE THE ROOM ON THE CHANNEL'S EXTRANET IT WILL CONTINUE TO BE SOLD.
Alternatively, you can set availability to 0 and run a full refresh before disabling the room type.
Step 6: Click on the "Update" button
Step 7: The room is now in the Disabled Room Types Section
Deleting the Rooms
After you have disabled a room, you can now proceed to delete it. Follow these steps:
Click on the Room that you just Disabled
1. Scroll to the bottom and check the "Delete" box
2. Click the "I UNDERSTAND"
3. Click on "Update"
4. The Room will now be deleted.
You must disable the room in the Channel Extranet too!
Until the room is disabled on the channel (Booking.com, Expedia, Hostelworld, etc) the room will be live and bookable by anyone in the world.
