How to connect Katanox to myallocator

Katanox enables a direct partnership between hotel and travel sellers. Katanox makes selling hotel rooms effortless. The OTA duopoly, GDSs and Bedbanks have extended control over hotel distribution, hindering new entries into the market. An extremely fragmented technical infrastructure heightens the cost to entry.

Opening up hotel distribution in todays landscape of e-commerce platforms, mobile apps and chatbots, will provide hotels with direct bookings through many more channels and will provide travelers more choice to find the best deal.

How to connect Katanox to myallocator

On myallocator, you can connect your existing Katanox account or create a new account if you don't already have one. Please check each option below.

I have an account on Katanox
  1. Click Manage
  2. Go to Channels
  3. Click Add Channel
  1. Search for Katanox and click Not Setup
  1. Click I have an account on Katanox
  1. Enter your Katanox Hotel ID and skip the Password. The Hotel ID can be found under your Property Settings on Katanox extranet.
  2. Click Next
  1. Map your rooms together. If you need help with room mapping, please consult our Room Mapping Guidelines. Click Next.
  1. Enter a Base Rate Adjustment (if desired). In most cases, this can be left blank. More information can be found here: Setting Base Rate Adjustments. Click Next.
  1. Channel setup is complete, myallocator will now send a full refresh to Katanox. Click Back to Overview.
Create new account on Katanox
  1. Click Manage
  2. Go to Channels
  3. Click Add Channel
  1. Search for Katanox and click Not Setup
  1. Click Create New Account on Katanox

On the next window, you'll find a note about your new Katanox channel account creation, please read the note carefully. Katanox will use the room and property information on myallocator, make sure they are all correct.

  1. Would you like your inventory to be sent to the channel after the connection is established? Select Yes
  2. Your Contact email on myallocator will be used to register the Katanox account, you can go to Emails tab to change it if needed.
  3. Tick the box I have read and agree to the terms & conditions for Katanox.
  4. Click Create Katanox Account
  1. Your registration is succeeded. You can save your Katanox Hotel ID for future reference.
  2. Click Back to Overview to finish the channel setup on myallocator.
  1. Click on the status of the channel Katanox Ready for Mapping
  1. Click I have an account on Katanox
  1. Your Katanox Hotel Id will be pre-filled. You can skip filling the password and click Next.
  1. Your rooms will be automatically mapped. Double check if everything is correct and click Next.

  1. Enter a Base Rate Adjustment (if desired). In most cases, this can be left blank. More information can be found here: Setting Base Rate Adjustments. Click Next.
  1. Channel Setup is Complete, myallocator will now send a full refresh to Katanox. Click Back to Overview.

Finish your property setup on Katanox

  1. Go to app.katanox.com/login
  2. Click Forgot your password?
  1. Enter your email address used to register your Katanox account. This is the same email address used on myallocator. You can refer to step 7 in section Create new account on Katanox
  2. Click Send Password Reset Link
  1. You will receive an email from Katanox with the password reset link. Click Reset Password and follow the instructions to set up a new password.
  1. Once the password is set, you will be redirected to your Katanox account. Select your property.
  1. Under Units, you will find all your room types. Click View to see your room setup.
  1. Double check your room configuration, add a description, images and amenities.
  2. Make sure the button is switched ON and click Save. Repeat the same process for all your room types.
  1. Under Policies you can add your cancellation and no-show policies.
  1. In the Rate Plans section, you will find a list of the standard rate (BAR) sent from myallocator. Click View to see the rate plan configuration.
  1. Here you can add description of the rate and link the necessary policies. Repeat the process for all your rate plans.
  1. Once you completed all the rate plans configuration, click Property Settings.
  1. Make sure your property information is correct especially the address and the contact details such as email address and phone number.
  2. Switch the button to ON
  3. Click Save
